Omaha house
Completed in 2018, the Omaha house overlooks the estuary facing west. An awkward shaped site and the desire to connect the occupants with the stunning water surrounds led to a a three-formed or winged structure connected with glazed hallways.
Fins screen the face facing the drive to blur the boundaries between inside and out and offer privacy.

The eastern deck leads to a glazed entryway that connects between the living gable form and the double-storey sleeping gable wing.
Abodo heat treated pine with Sioo:x finish gives the humble “board + batten” cladding a longer-lasting and low-maintenace finish and fits in sympathetically with the coastal environment.

Semi-enclosed outdoor living
With glazed sliders and operational louvres this semi-enclosed deck provides outdoor living even when those westerly winds blow in from the water.
